Who I am
I write about what changes, what remains and what we are capable of rebuilding.
I am Portia St. Patrick, a Dominican writer based in Sweden for more than fifteen years.
I write contemporary fiction about adult relationships, identities that change over time and those moments when life forces us to decide what to keep, what to leave behind and how to start over.
I am interested in mature characters, complex bonds and second chances. I also write about money. My education and career in finance led me to develop educational projects for people who want to understand their finances better, without jargon or advice that cannot be applied to real life.
I live and write between cultures, and perhaps that is why I return again and again to change, decisions and the ways we rebuild our lives when circumstances force us to see them differently.
I believe that knowledge, like good stories, gains value when it is shared.
